UNIQLO has partnered with the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York and its Design and Technology Lab to launch a limited edition upcycled collection named ‘Re.Live.’ The series, consisting of 11 pieces including knitwear, outerwear, shirts, jumpsuits, and accessories, is developed from completely unsellable and unwearable UNIQLO products collected in the ‘Re.Uniqlo’ program initiated in 2022.
The collection was brought to life by a team comprising five students from FIT’s class of 2024, including three from fashion design and two from advertising and digital design. They selected items such as UNIQLO pocket shirts, twill weave work jackets, and contrasting stripe button-up tops, revitalizing them with bold contours and details.
The collaboration was launched globally on December 13 and is available at the Japanese retail giant’s global flagship store, Re. Uniqlo Studio on Fifth Avenue in New York, with prices ranging from $39.90 to $89.90.
