The Design Award of the Institut du Monde Arabe call for proposals is ending this June 1st.
The Design Award of the Institut du monde arabe was created in 2023 to cast light on emerging and established designers from the Arab world, to showcase technical skill, productive genius and the creation of new materials.
Its prestigious jury recognizes designers from the Arab world in four categories: Emerging Talent, Arab Bank Switzerland Impact Award, Grand Prix and Contemporary Artisanry.
This year’s call for proposals, which ends on June 1st, 2025, invites designers to submit projects that aim to create forward-looking objects and architecture for the Arab region, taking into account local expertise, circular economies and environmental challenges.
The awards ceremony will take place on September 3rd, 2025, and mark the opening of an exhibition of shortlisted applicants’ and award winners’ projects
