EDEN X BOUBOU by Matthieu Dortomb

For this editorial, I wanted to blend timeless elegance with a modern sensibility—drawing from classic fashion portraiture while infusing it with subtle, refreshing elements. Through small gestures—a bold accessory here, a slightly offbeat hairstyle there—I sought to build a visual narrative rooted in simplicity but alive with transformative detail.

We worked with a combination of costume pieces and custom jewelry, creating a dialogue between the iconic and the contemporary. The setting was my home studio, nestled in the heart of Montmartre’s 18th arrondissement in Paris—a creative and intimate space that shaped the mood of the shoot.

I was lucky to collaborate with a brilliant team: a makeup artist and stylist who instinctively understood the balance I was aiming for. Together, we chose Eden and Boubou—two fresh new faces from IMG Paris—for their striking beauty, authenticity, and emotional range.

The entire series was shot digitally with a Nikon Z7 II, with a focus on technical precision that would preserve the subtlety of each expression and the purity of each moment.
