Samsung is preparing to launch its latest foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Flip 5, and is expecting it to be a big hit. In anticipation of high demand, the Korean manufacturer has decided to double its production of the device.
Major changes to an external screen
One of the main reasons for Samsung’s optimism is the design of the phone’s external screen. The leaked image of the phone’s back panel shows a larger external display and a unique tab-like shape. Ross Young, a display industry analyst, has revealed that Samsung plans to double the number of units produced for its launch in late July.
Improved hinge mechanism
The Galaxy Z Flip 5 will feature a new hinge mechanism that reduces the crease when the device is open. The new hinge design is similar to that of the OPPO Find N2 Flip, which folds completely to eliminate any gap. This is a major improvement over its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Flip 4.
Other improvements
In addition to the larger external screen and improved hinge mechanism, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will also feature new cameras and the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, which has already proven to be effective in the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

Launch date
Samsung is working hard to ensure that the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will be a success. With production doubled the company hopes to meet the high demand for this highly anticipated foldable phone. The launch date is set for late July, and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is expected to be one of the most innovative and exciting devices to hit the market in the coming months.
