International music stars Katy Perry, Future, Anitta, LISA, Rema, and Tyla have been confirmed as headline performers for the highly anticipated event at Los Angeles Stadium. FIFA has also hinted that additional major artists will be announced in the coming months, building even more excitement ahead of the tournament.

The ceremony will mark a historic moment for the FIFA World Cup, as the 2026 edition becomes the first tournament hosted by three nations: the United States, Canada, and Mexico. For the first time ever, opening celebrations will take place across all three host countries, connecting fans through simultaneous festivities in Mexico City, Toronto, and Los Angeles.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino described the Los Angeles event as a reflection of the tournament’s global scale and cultural diversity. According to FIFA, the lineup was carefully selected to showcase the many musical influences and communities that shape the United States today.

Fans attending the ceremony are encouraged to arrive early, as the festivities will begin 90 minutes before kickoff. Stadium gates will open four hours ahead of the match, giving spectators access to live entertainment, immersive fan experiences, and exclusive activities throughout the venue.

Produced in partnership with Balich Wonder Studio, the show is expected to feature large-scale visuals, storytelling elements, and live performances celebrating unity through sport and music.

The opening match of the FIFA World Cup 2026 will see the United States face Paraguay, officially launching a tournament that will include 104 matches across 16 host cities before concluding with the final in New York/New Jersey on July 19.
