Some clothes shape a silhouette.
Gongdid shapes a feeling.
Founded in Bangkok by Peach Wichcha Soponpattana, Gongdid Design isn’t just a brand. It’s a rhythm – soft, intuitive, and weightless. A language of pleats that doesn’t follow seasons so much as it follows emotion: memory, movement, joy.
The name “Gongdid” comes from the Thai word for weaving machine – a quiet metaphor for the brand’s devotion to process. Every piece is pleated, folded, and formed with the kind of care that doesn’t ask to be seen, but is deeply felt.
This year marks the brand’s 10th anniversary – a quiet milestone celebrated through Dear Summer, its upcoming Spring/Summer 2026 collection and a love letter to childhood textures: school uniforms, home fabrics, sleeves we remember even when we don’t try to – soft as memory, and just as persistent.
There’s something about Gongdid that feels like a madeleine de Proust.
A fold. A texture. A tone.
You didn’t ask for the memory – but it came anyway.
But Gongdid isn’t defined by a single collection.
Its world is continuous – always soft, always moving.
Signature wavy pleats in memory-washed colors.
Delicate embroidery on translucent organza.
One-size silhouettes that gently shift with each body.
These aren’t just garments.
They’re gestures.
They’re reminders of what fashion can feel like when it doesn’t try too hard.
Gongdid doesn’t chase influence — and yet, it’s already been embraced by modern icons like Leandra Medine Cohen, Eva Chen, and the Young Emperors.
But the brand’s true muse feels quieter than fame.
Someone who lives with intention.
Someone who lets softness lead.
