E the timeless appeal of restraint and consistency, this collection balances alpine athleticism and the slower, softer pace of mountain farm life. Rier enriches its mountain infused vocabulary with a new range of 100% natural wool materials, sturdy cotton, archaic leather and new feminine styles.
The colour palette ranges from deep lead plombe to chalky talc, camoscio crust, a new dark brown tourbe and myrte powder rose, with a vibrant burst of safety orange.
Rier’s Winter silhouette is completed with lace-like skeletal sterling silver jewellery, handcrafted in Paris by Zoé Mohm and inspired by historical tyrolean waxed myrtle branches used to adorn the alpine costumes.
Winter 2025 is grounded in the collaboration with historical Viennese shoemaker Ludwig Reiter, presenting new Norwegian style derbies in three exclusive variants: black Juchtenleder, anthracite velour and lush soft deer, featuring grey shearling lining and an outdoor rubber sole. While embracing the exclusive Rier styles: the Tractor and Field boots in black leather as well as the iconic caoutchouc farmer rainboots, presented in new shades of velour leather.
The Rier Winter 2025 lookbook was photographed by Phil Engelhardt at Fondation Fiminco, emptied to the bone revealing its barren cement structure. The space offered a particularly fitting representation of mineral environments, harkening back to the rocky alpine sceneries of South Tyrol.
The foundation is a former industrial site in Romainville, on the outskirts of Paris. A place now serving artists from around the world and open to all audiences, created in 2017.
