For the release of Fear of God’s Fall 25 NBA Essentials collection, the house presents a series of artworks by Los Angeles based multidisciplinary artist Jacob Rochester.
Channeling “an attitude that is an extension of the game”, Rochester depicts the stylistic self-expression reflected off-court; the collective spirit found on the bleachers; and the nuances that color that shared experience.
“I’ve always been drawn to depicting the culture of basketball outside of the game,” says Rochester. “These moments that speak to the fashion of basketball; how you express yourself. These moments of chilling with your friends or cracking jokes while you’re sitting on the sidelines. The warmth of always carrying the spirit of the game with you.”
This season, for the first time, a sporty nylon tracksuit featuring Fear of God’s iconic tearaway track pants is offered in the NBA Essentials collection, alongside the introduction of a half-zip track jacket, the fleece warm-up, and a new fleece crewneck with a kangaroo pocket featuring team artwork on the front and back. Classic fleece styles are updated with ribbed cuffs and waistbands. The NBA Essentials league crewneck and hoodie are highlighted in cream and navy colorways, while womenswear fits debut across tees, hoodies, and crewnecks.
New NBA franchises introduced in the collection include the Brooklyn Nets, Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets, Houston Rockets, Milwaukee Bucks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Orlando Magic, Phoenix Suns, and Toronto Raptors as well as WNBA teams including the Golden State Valkyries and Indiana Fever.
The collection also features NBA Essentials New Era 9FIFTY snapback caps representing the NBA and WNBA leagues, as well as the Boston Celtics, Chicago Bulls, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks, and San Antonio Spurs.
The collection launches at fearofgod.com and Fanatics on October 14, with availability expanding to Fear of God Essentials retailers, select arena stores, and NBA Stores in the weeks to follow.
