Los Angeles-based luxury fashion powerhouse, Amiri, has inaugurated its first flagship store in the Windy City of Chicago. This impressive 7,500-square-foot establishment offers a curated selection of the brand’s men’s and women’s ready-to-wear collections, children’s apparel, footwear, and accessories.
In celebration of the store’s grand opening, Amiri is launching an exclusive capsule collection that pays homage to Chicago’s legendary sports team with a bold palette of red and black. This limited edition range includes statement-making tees, sweatshirts, hoodies, trackpants, MX1 jeans, and caps, all featuring a distinctive Chicago bone logo.
Nestled on East Walton Street, amidst the opulence of Chicago’s historic Gold Coast District, this luxurious flagship is the brainchild of Mike Amiri, the eponymous label’s CEO and creative director. Working alongside Parisian design studio Nocod and in collaboration with American architectural design firm Two One Two Design, Amiri has crafted a space that exudes elegance and sophistication.
The flagship’s interior boasts a harmonious interplay of textures and tones, with natural oak, precious marble, and stainless steel effortlessly complementing custom-designed furniture. This refined aesthetic is a hallmark of Amiri’s retail locations, ensuring that customers experience the brand’s signature atmosphere.
Art enthusiasts will appreciate the addition of site-specific installations, featuring a work by acclaimed American artist Jason Revok and masterpieces by local collaborative duo Alridge, entitled Joint Spirit II and Joint Spirit III.
This latest flagship represents Amiri’s sixth location in the United States and ninth worldwide. In December, the brand expanded its global presence with the opening of its first Middle Eastern store in The Dubai Mall.
Mike Amiri established his eponymous brand in 2014, and it has since garnered significant financial backing from Renzo Rosso’s OTB Group, which acquired a notable minority stake in June 2019. Amiri’s exceptional design prowess has been recognized with multiple nominations for Menswear Designer of the Year at the CFDA Fashion Awards in 2022, 2021, and 2019.
