Balenciaga is elevating its winter sports offerings with an innovative video game that features its first Skiwear Collection. Accessible on any device, the game is exclusive to WeChat in China and available online globally.
Players in the game can select from two avatars clad in animated versions of the Balenciaga Skiwear Collection, encompassing technically advanced ready-to-wear, protective accessories, snow gear, and athletic equipment. Participants guide their avatars down an endless ski slope, encountering diverse environments and weather conditions like snow, rain, and fog. The challenge intensifies with increasing speed as players weave through downhill gates, aiming to stay on the slope as long as possible to accumulate points.
Additionally, the game offers rewards and incentives, such as exclusive wallpapers and stickers available for download post-gameplay. Players can also check their standings on a global scoreboard and compare their performance with other skiers. Moreover, a contest running from December 11th to January 31st, 2024, will identify the top players in each designated zone, with winners receiving a physical Balenciaga Ski Lock from the collection as a prize.
