Y-3, the long-standing collaboration between adidas and Yohji Yamamoto, presented its Spring/Summer 2026 collection at the Palais Brongniart in Paris on June 28. Departing from a traditional runway format, the brand staged a four-act live performance directed by choreographer Kiani Del Valle, featuring dancers from the KDV Performance Group. The show emphasized physical movement and group dynamics, aligning with the collection’s exploration of transformation and duality.
The collection draws on adidas’ early 1990s Equipment range, reinterpreted through Y-3’s minimal, deconstructed aesthetic. Technical fabrics like summer and crinkle viscose were introduced, tested live by performers to highlight functionality and fit. Key pieces include dip-dyed garments with raw finishes, footwear updates to the RC6 and Stan Smith silhouettes, and a five-piece capsule honoring athletes associated with the number 5. The presentation reinforced Y-3’s position at the intersection of sportswear innovation and directional design.
