On Our Radar lands on Paris Fashion Week with its 22nd pick: LITKOVSKA’s Fall–Winter 2026/27 collection, “FIREFLY” — a luminous meditation born in the heart of Kyiv’s harsh winter.
Minus 30 degrees. Blackouts. No heating, no water. Amid scarcity, people move through the streets with tiny lights on their heads, turning the city into a constellation of fireflies. This fragile, fleeting brilliance became the soul of FIREFLY, reflecting an inner light that persists under pressure.
The collection fuses LITKOVSKA’s signature intellectual tailoring with architectural deconstruction and transformative silhouettes. Asymmetry and “unfinishedness” mirror the fragility of our times, while flowing volumes evoke the drama of Ukrainian Baroque, translating Kyiv’s sculptural architecture into wearable art.
Anchoring the season is the BESAGY BAG, inspired by the traditional Ukrainian double-sided carrier, reimagined for the modern nomad. Flashlights recur as both practical objects and metaphors for guidance — a presence leading another through darkness.
FIREFLY is not just a collection. It is a tribute to resilience, warmth, and the stubborn glow of hope in uncertain times.
