Los Angeles–based photographer and artist Bootsy Holler is coming to New York for a book signing and talk at The Leica Gallery New York on Nov 22 to celebrate her new Damiani release, MAKiNG iT — a raw, nostalgic, and wildly stylish journey through Seattle’s indie, rock, and punk scene from 1992–2008.
Before she became an acclaimed artist, Bootsy was a fan with a camera, capturing the city’s underground evolution from grunge to indie — with intimate portraits, backstage chaos, and live gigs featuring Moby, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Beck, REM, Pearl Jam, Fleet Foxes, Death Cab for Cutie, Interpol, Modest Mouse, Gossip, Macklemore, and more.
The book includes a foreword by Megan Jasper (Sub Pop) and an intro by Charles Peterson (Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck).
