MACHINE-A Soho: From London Landmark to Global Trendsetter
MACHINE-A‘s London flagship store, a multi-brand buyer’s shop with a strong reputation in the capital city, has undergone a full refurbishment and reopening on Brewer Street, signifying a milestone for MACHINE-A. Following the inauguration of its first international flagship store in Shanghai, MACHINE-A commemorates its tenth anniversary with a comprehensive revamp of its principal store in Soho, London.
The London flagship store is nestled at 13 Brewer Street. The interior space is designed by 2297<3, a multi-disciplinary creative and design studio from China, also accountable for the design of the MACHINE-A Shanghai flagship store. The walls are built of concrete but are filled with soft lines. Beneath the coarse appearance lie delicate and intentional architectural details. The store has expanded from one floor to two. A striking spiral staircase stands at the center of the store.
An Unprecedented Array of Brands and Global Talents
The redesigned space enables MACHINE-A to feature an unprecedented scale of brands sold, including Raf Simons, Rick Owens, and Comme des Garçons. The store boasts a curated selection of global pioneers, designer brands such as Martine Rose, A-Cold-Wall*, Y/Project, and Craig Green, and emerging global talents like Yueqi Qi, Rui, Coperni, Steven Ma, Chet Lo, Nensi Dojaka, and Olly Shinder, among others.
MACHINE-A’s spirit remains committed to supporting emerging talent, innovative, and experimental design, while championing the global creative community that has grown with the store over the past decade.
