Nearly fifteen years after his debut catwalk show with his own label at Milan fashion week 2002, Neil Barrett has graced us with his first-ever collection of men’s ski wear this winter 2016. The British designer’s characteristic minimalist style is beautifully reflected in this new format for him, and since Barrett himself is a ski aficionado, we can assume this collection is designed to also be practical and comfortable on the slopes.
His preferred ski destination? Cervinia, St. Mortiz and Gstaad, where he takes yearly ski trips.
Neil Barrett’s new ski wear collection features tailored, quilted outerwear, ski pants and hoodie sweatshirts. Subtle details in each piece seem to pay homage to the designer’s roots in menswear, including tuxedo stripes and chevron patterns, and there is certainly a hint of the Italian flair Barrett acquired during his years at Gucci and Prada.
Where can you get your hands on Neil Barrett’s new ski collection? Check with Harrods or Selfridges beginning in December of this year, but be quick. These pieces are sure to go fast!
