Lionel Messi returns to the spotlight with a fresh Louis Vuitton campaign, this time stealing the show all on his own.

In November, Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo captured the world’s attention with their collaborative Louis Vuitton advertisement, featuring the soccer stars engaging in a game of chess atop LV monogram luggage. Released just before the World Cup, the ad quickly went viral and still ranks as the fourth most-liked photo on Instagram.
Fresh off his victorious FIFA 2022 World Cup run, where Messi led Argentina to their first championship since 1986, the celebrated athlete is now front and center in his second Louis Vuitton campaign – and his first solo appearance. Photographer Glen Luchford captured Messi at the airport for the brand’s “Horizons Never End” travel initiative, stylishly dressed in an all-black outfit and posing next to Vuitton’s Horizon suitcase, designed by Marc Newson.
Originally introduced in 2016, these lightweight suitcases are crafted from a molded mesh composite, covered in monochromatic canvas, and accented with natural cowhide trim. Louis Vuitton touts this launch as a “celebration of the spirit of travel” and a tribute to the iconic Horizon collection.
