LGN Louis-Gabriel Nouchi unveils a very personal collection for the Spring/Summer 2021 season named L’ÉTRANGER inspired by Albert Camus’s famous novel The Outsider. It narrates the story of an ordinary man who is confronted with the absurdity of existence and the human condition.
To capture the essence of this collection, LGN planned a great literary dinner with friends, a very relaxed atmosphere where subversion and drama intermingle, creating an intriguing situation like Film noir in a David Lynch aesthetic. The classic Parisian summer evenings are here reinterpreted by photographer Ismael Moumin and artistic director Adrien Simon Poznanski portraying that nostalgic feeling of what appears to be distant memories today.
L’étranger features a bright color palette seen in the evening clothes, suits, loose and colorful shirts as well as black and sober outfits accentuating this transition between the convivial dinner and the mysterious paintings taken from Camus’ story, work of the stylist Andrej Skok.
I like those evenings where different people come together in moments of joy or in more difficult ones. It is this variety in life that I assert and of which we are currently deprived.
