Jeremy Scott announces his departure from Italian luxury fashion house Moschino after a decade, to collaborate with Hyundai on an upcycling project that transforms discarded electric car materials into high-fashion garments. Scott’s fashion collection, showcased in Hyundai’s exhibition, creatively combines textiles, tires, seatbelts, taillights, and windshield wipers into stunning evening gowns. The Hyundai Re: Style exhibition will run for three weeks in Seongsu-dong, Korea, starting March 23, and coincides with the global launch of Hyundai’s new KONA electric car. Re: Style ambassador and model Lauren Wasser, who overcame physical limitations after a double leg amputation, represents the upcycling platform’s diversity and innovation theme, modeling Scott’s collection and displaying Re: Style’s three-year archive. The exhibition also features a collection books and brand films, reflecting Hyundai’s commitment to sustainability and innovation through electrification and cultural content.
