The much-anticipated Mugler x H&M collaboration launches on May 11, honoring Manfred Thierry Mugler’s impact on contemporary fashion. The lookbook, featuring an eclectic mix of talents, showcases the collection’s adaptability.
Menswear offerings include leather masterpieces like trousers, blazers, and a trench coats with engraved buttons. Sculpted denim jackets and tailored designs harmonize with transparent flocked star print tops and corset-infused tank tops.
The women’s collection embodies quintessential Mugler aesthetics, characterized by exaggerated shoulders and nipped-in waists. A unifying element of spiral multi-seaming weaves through relaxed jeans, nylon and denim-combined thong jeans, and jackets. Leather outerwear juxtaposes opulent dresses, curve-enhancing catsuits, leggings, and cut-out bodysuits.

A selection of gender-neutral accessories, including sheer gloves, tights, bags, and scarves, complements the collection. Silver and gold body chains, earrings, and necklaces in various sizes elevate the ensemble.
Casey Cadwallader, Mugler’s creative director, expressed the collection’s significance, stating, “This collection is a milestone for the House of Mugler – an opportunity for us to celebrate our history and the creations we’re cherished for today.” He further elaborated on the collaboration’s iconic elements, ranging from catsuits and bodycon dresses to exceptional tailoring, denim, and audacious jewelry and accessories.

Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M’s creative advisor, praised the generosity of Cadwallader and the Mugler team in sharing the brand’s classics and signatures. She emphasized the collection’s embodiment of the H&M philosophy of making great fashion accessible and democratizing design, with each piece holding iconic status.
The Mugler x H&M collaboration continues H&M’s tradition of high-low partnerships, which began in 2004 with Karl Lagerfeld. The Swedish brand has since collaborated with the likes of Stella McCartney, Moschino, Maison Margiela, Balmain, Isabel Marant, Comme des Garçons, Lanvin, Versace, Simone Rocha, and Giambattista Valli.
The Mugler x H&M collection will be available for purchase on H&M’s website and in select stores starting May 11. Witness the fusion of timeless design and modern sensibilities in this exquisite collaboration that pays tribute to Mugler’s enduring legacy.
