Twenty countries made it to the World Final of the Elite Model Look 2015 competition, and London without a doubt was one of them. Representing the United Kingdom, it is a pleasure to present you sixteen-year-old model Chris Tydings, a huge fan of rugby whose journey to the Elite World Final had prepared him for tomorrow’s contest. Be sure to support him by heading to his Elite Profile and give him a like, tweet or follow.
Heading to a bus station after watching a concert at the O2 in July, Chris was approached by an Elite scouter who asked him if he would like to have some polaroids taken at the agency, to which he accepted. After shooting some photographs, Chris’ journey to become Elite’s UK winner started. From around 5,000 applicants, 40 semi-finalists, an intense training that involved catwalk training, swimwear walk and a full catwalk in front of a panel of judges, Chris became one of the top ten finalists.

Being one of the finalists, Chris’ experiences along his course for the Elite UK championship consisted of a photo session between the model agency and the Istituto Marangoni, where the finalists were styled exclusively by the graduates collection. Chris was dressed by Simone Leimgruber (left photo).
The main event that defined Chris’ victory was the not a usual competition, since this year was the first time the modeling agency teamed up with British fashion brand Superdry.
On July 30th, at Superdry’s flagship store on Regent Street, Chris modeled along his contenders the brand’s latest Autumn/Winter 15 collection highlights (you can watch the video of the contest here), displaying different looks across the catwalk in the presence of a panel of judges that included Elite London’s CEO, Michelangelo Chiacchio, Elite’s director, France Chiacchio, Elite Model Look Ambassador Oliver Proudlock, and Elite World director Victoria da Silva. It was a tough competition, but in the end Chris Tydings was named the winner.
Having all this experience into account, it is clear why Chris is on the World Final, and we could say he is more than ready for tomorrow’s competition that will define the top 5 models of the contest along one grand winner.
Vanity Teen had opportunity to ask Chris a few questions before tomorrow’s big challenge, and he told us some of his favorite desserts, songs, and his life philosophy . We wish him good luck at tomorrow’s contest!
