Bottega Veneta has joined forces with renowned multidisciplinary artist Gaetano Pesce to present “VIENI A VEDERE,” a one-of-a-kind installation that will be open to the public from April 15 to 22 during Milan Design Week at their Montenapoleone store.
Following their collaboration on temporary exhibition space for Bottega Veneta’s Summer ’23 fashion show, Pesce and the luxury brand continue their artistic dialogue by exploring a new dimension. The installation, which spans the entire store, uses resin and fabric to create an immersive experience where visitors are guided through a cave-like setting. On display are limited-edition bags created by Bottega Veneta, based on Pesce’s designs.
Upon entering the store, visitors are greeted with a brief explanation of the project and invited to follow a white path with shades of red, green, and yellow. These colors are reflected in the two exclusive bags created for the occasion. A silhouette of a figure shooting a basketball symbolizes the discovery of the language of representation and signifies victory, according to Pesce.
The leather accessories, crafted by Bottega Veneta artisans, reinterpret the iconic intrecciato technique and are inspired by the artist’s own childhood memories and cherished places such as the prairies and mountains of Este and America. The limited-edition bags will be available for purchase during the week of the event.
