Backstage at the SONGZIO Spring/Summer 2027 show, photographer Frederic Troehler captured the atmosphere behind the scenes, where anticipation met precision and every detail came to life before hitting the runway.
We also caught up with designer Jay Songzio for a quick conversation about IMPAVIDE, the vision behind the collection, and the subtle details that define its spirit.

This collection feels like a world of its own. If you had to describe the Spring/Summer 2027 protagonist in three words, what would they be?
Fearless. Bold. Elegant. The collection is titled IMPAVIDE, and those three words capture its essence perfectly.
SONGZIO always balances art and fashion. What was the very first image, emotion, or obsession that sparked this season?
The first image that came to mind was a very young soldier. Emotionally, though, the collection is about transformation—embracing change and finding the courage to express yourself fully.
Looking at the collection, what is one detail you think people might miss on the runway but that means everything to you?
The twisted and dripping details. They may seem subtle at first glance, but they quietly run throughout the entire collection. They embody the idea of transformation and evolution, expressing a constant tension between strength and vulnerability. It’s a detail that connects every look and, for me, represents the true soul of IMPAVIDE.
After more than a decade showing in Paris, what still excites you about presenting a new SONGZIO collection here today?
As a designer, presenting a new collection never stops being exciting. Every show feels like a new beginning—a new story, a new challenge, and a new opportunity to share our vision with the world.
