ABODI Transylvania’s new collection, “The Chronicles” is a living mythology of wearable art unveiled during Paris Couture Week alongside a cinematic campaign shoot rooted in Transylvanian heritage and contemporary storytelling.
Existing between fashion and sculpture, the collection channels folklore, power, survival, and identity into a bold visual universe where garments function as wearable statues. Drawing from Eastern European and Balkan mysticism, ABODI Transylvania reactivates mythology for the present rather than romanticizing the past.
Craftsmanship is central to the collection, featuring hand-painted pieces, sculptural patchwork coats constructed from antique hand-woven Transylvanian hemp fabrics, antique laces on cotton, and collaborations with local seamstresses. Illustrations and paintings transform into textile prints and three-dimensional surfaces, blurring the boundaries between clothing, object, and art.
The accompanying visuals by long-term collaborator Szilveszter Makó present cinematic, ritualistic imagery where characters appear suspended between past and present, reinforcing the collection’s emotional and mythological depth.
