CASA GAJA presents a curated collection of finely crafted belts that seamlessly merge Portuguese artisanal heritage with contemporary design: it’s the debut collection.
The brand was founded by two best friends, based between London and Porto, and united by a shared passion for craftsmanship, design and storytelling.
The name itself reflects the brand’s spirit: “casa” stands for home, roots, and heritage, while “gaja”, Portuguese slang for girl, representative of its founders.
The vision is rooted in preserving and celebrating Portuguese artisans collaborating with local workshops to create sustainable and timeless leather goods, with each belt meticulously crafted using responsibly sourced materials, including leather off-cuts and dead stock, reflecting our brand’s commitment to mindful production.
The debut belt collection includes four signature designs: CASA CLASSICO, GAJA CLASSICO, PORTO, and VAQUERO.
“Belts are often overlooked, but at CASA GAJA we see them as the quiet anchor of an outfit. Our goal is to reimagine this accessory with the same reverence as fine tailoring, elevating everyday classics into aspirational pieces” says Nicole Brixi, co-founder of CASA GAJA.
“As a Portuguese co-founder, it’s especially important to me that CASA GAJA works hand in hand with local artisans. Our production not only preserves their expertise but also ensures that each piece carries the heritage of Portuguese craftsmanship, reinterpreted with a contemporary mindset and responsible approach” says Carlota Santos, co-founder of CASA GAJA.
CASA GAJA belts are available worldwide through the official website: www.casa-gaja.com.
