Following Modern Matter’s collaborations with houses such as Margiela, Helmut Lang, and Alaïa, the latest groundbreaking creative collaboration is the one between Jun Takahashi, designer of UNDERCOVER, and Olu Odukoya, founder of Modern Matter.
This unique project serves as a creative dialogue, revisiting the Modern Matter archive of misprints—spanning a decade of artistic exploration from 2010 to 2020.
Takahashi has carefully reinterpreted and reworked each piece from the archive, using collage techniques. He transformed past imperfections into bold new creations that bridge the worlds of art, design, and fashion.
Accompanying the magazine is the Modern Matter Q&A Chronicles zine, offering a dive into the stories, inspirations, and creative processes behind the project. The project also includes an exclusive Modern Matter x Undercover /Q&A of Jun Takahashi t-shirt—a wearable extension of the collaboration that embodies the spirit of reinvention and creativity.
The magazine and T-shirt set will be available exclusively at UNDERCOVER official online store and in UNDERCOVER stores throughout Japan and at DSM London from the 15th to the 18th.
