Photographer Davide Frandi @dfphoto._, producer Jessica Lovato@jessicalovato_, and stylist Nicola Destro @nicola__destro share in an exclusive story entitled “The Cure”. Starring model Mateus Ribeiro @rmateus16 at Fashion Model @fashionmodel.it , the story was shot in the beautiful landscape of the major and historic city park Idro Montanelli Garden in Milan.
The editorial was inspired by Lord Byron’s poem “Mazeppa”, based on a popular legend about the early life of Ivan Mazepa (who later became Hetman of Ukraine). The young protagonist faces a journey in which he matures and it acts as an initiation process making him into a mature one. The experience is central to the poem’s meaning and symbolic of the possibilities of human transformation and rebirth.
Portraying the young Mazepa in the story, model Mateus Ribeiro @rmateus16 is a young Portuguese model who has worked for brands such as Diesel, Dsquared2, and many others.
About the story, the team commented:
The main idea was to represent the inner thoughts and the consequent maturation with the increase of awareness of the protagonist. Most of the painting representing this story is very strong and energetic. While in the editorial, we wanted to address above all, the inner part. More rational and less impulsive.
