Rahul Mishra, acclaimed couturier and Paris Haute Couture Week regular, expands his creative universe with his first architectural project, Aatman. Rising at 6,000 feet in Uttarakhand, one of the most fragile and beautiful eco-zones of the Himalayas, Aatman is a regenerative mountain residence that reimagines what it means to live beautifully, responsibly, and in harmony with nature. It also marks the debut of Rahul Mishra Spaces, a design-led extension of the brand where couture’s philosophy of craft, time, and permanence becomes the language of architecture.

Much like his couture collections, Aatman is the result of a deeply patient and participatory process. Built entirely by hand and without the felling of a single tree or the blasting of rock, the house follows the natural contours of its site. Every door, staircase, and piece of furniture has been crafted on location by local artisans, continuing Mishra’s belief that design must create livelihoods, dignity, and cultural continuity as much as objects of beauty. Its walls carry couture embroideries and its interiors reflect the human touch of their makers—an architectural expression of the same slow, thoughtful processes that define his ateliers in Paris and New Delhi.

From Paris ateliers to Himalayan ridgelines, Rahul Mishra continues to evolve his idea of slow, circular luxury—defining not only how we dress, but how we live.
