The concept behind this shoot was simple but deliberate: placing a petite plus presence directly within the visual language of high fashion without softening or commercializing it. Rather than redefining glamour, the aim was to inhabit it fully, confidently, and without compromise. And Victoria Pousada Kreindler does just that alongside photographer Andrew Cooper, stylist Sakai Symonè and assistant stylist Simone (Mo) Pierre.

The initial mood referenced the elegance of Old Hollywood. Dramatic silhouettes, sculpted studio lighting, and a sense of timeless femininity shaped the early direction, with gowns originally planned to echo classic cinematic glamour. Once the shoot began, however, the atmosphere shifted organically. The styling evolved toward something more contemporary, guided by the energy that developed on set.

Structured black coats by Akira and a striking red coat by On 24th by Jordie quickly became central elements of the visual narrative. Gloves, hats, and layered accessories pulled from the stylist’s kit added texture and contrast, building a sense of character throughout the series. A bold red lip by Elizabeth Arden remained constant, acting as a visual anchor across the different looks.

The final imagery lands somewhere between polished glamour and subtle defiance. Classic references remain present, but the overall mood leans toward a modern tension that feels both refined and quietly rebellious.
The shoot was captured on a Canon R7 with a 50mm prime lens, creating a natural perspective while maintaining intimacy with the subject. Lighting was constructed using three Alien Bees B800 strobes paired with a 22-inch beauty dish. In certain setups, a 30-degree grid and diffuser were introduced to tighten the light and produce more controlled shadows, shaping dimension and presence rather than flattening the frame.

As the session progressed, spontaneity became a defining element. Instead of strictly following initial references, the team responded to what felt most powerful in the moment. The result carries a cinematic quality while remaining immediate and instinctive.

Ultimately, the series expands the visual frame of contemporary fashion imagery. Elegance, structure, and intensity are not confined to a single body type. In this project, fashion is presented as something lived and embodied — confident, expressive, and unapologetically visible.
