“PARIS TO VA”: Louis Vuitton’s Western-Inspired Fall Winter 2024/25 Collection by Pharrell Williams

Under the creative helm of Pharrell Williams, Louis Vuitton has embarked on a journey from “PARIS TO VA” for its Fall Winter 2024/25 collection, marking Williams’s third runway show for the esteemed brand. After heading East to Hong Kong last year, Williams now takes us West, immersing us in a setting reminiscent of the great plains and the iconic backdrops of Monument Valley. This collection serves as a vivid exploration of the roots of the American Western wardrobe.

The show, set at the Jardin d’Acclimatation in Paris and closing the first night of Men’s Fashion Week, opened with a unique film prelude featuring Ron Husband, celebrated for his work as an animator at Disney, sketching his vision of the first cowboy. The event attracted a buzzworthy A-list crowd, underscoring Louis Vuitton’s long-standing ethos of cultural exchange through travel.

Fashion’s profound significance in Native American culture, with its unique staples and garments specific to various tribes, is not lost on Williams. He draws from this rich heritage, collaborating creatively with artists from the Dakota and Lakota nations. This partnership extends from accessories to the soundtrack, curated by Dee Jay Two Bears of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. Notably, the collaboration also includes American boot brand Timberland, reimagined through the LV lens, and a reinterpretation of the Millionaire Sunglasses, originally debuted by Williams and Nigo in 2004.
