Nine International Artists Interpret The Valentino Garavani DeVain Bag Through An Experimental Visual Narrative.
Maison Valentino presents a digital creative project dedicated to the Valentino Garavani DeVain bag, developed in collaboration with nine international artists.
The DeVain becomes the central character of nine visual stories and a starting point for a reflection on contemporary creativity, reimagined through the digital medium as a form of artistic expression. The works, created by talents from diverse disciplines and sensibilities, give life to a multifaceted and contemporary visual project.
The first chapter unveils the works of five of the nine participating creatives: Thomas Albdorf, Enter The Void, Paul Octavious, Albert Planella and Tina Tona.
The remaining talents will be revealed in early December, completing the digital constellation that shapes the project.
Each artist interprets the DeVain bag as a symbol of creative freedom and individuality, merging experimentation and imagination into unique visual narratives.
We continue this creative journey with Thomas Albdorf‘s video-story:

Thomas Albdorf is an artist, photographer, director based in Vienna, Austria. His work questions the perception of reality through staged imagery and constructed still life images, balancing illusion and material presence. After working for several years as a Graphic Designer and Art Director, Thomas Albdorf studied Transmedia Art at the University of Applied Arts, Vienna, where he graduated in 2013.
He was selected as one of 30 international “Artists to Watch” by British Journal of Photography in 2014; he won the UNSEEN Amsterdam Talent Award in 2016. He had institutional solo shows and is part of public collections in Austria, Germany and The Netherlands. His work has been exhibited throughout galleries in Europe & the United States, and he has been featured/interviewed in magazines like FOAM Magazine, British Journal of Photography, The New Yorker, The New York Times, The Guardian and many more.
Thomas Albdorf creates a series of studio-based video explorations where the bag is reflected across mirrored surfaces. Through the interplay of symmetry and texture, he constructs sculptural compositions in which the DeVain multiplies and transforms, suspended between reality and illusion.
