LAFORMELA enters the next phase of its journey. The house is optimising its internal structure, revising its brand identity and redesigning its e-shop, creating not only a new digital space but also launching ESSENTIALS 25, whose highlight is an innovative collaboration with the wholly Czech footwear brand Botas.

ESSENTIALS 25 is designed to settle at the core of an everyday wardrobe. It builds on the brand’s aesthetic integrity and mirrors its own evolution, embracing premium materials, local production and a stronger focus on proportion and movement. The aim was to imprint the energy of the new LAFORMELA into the collection—its updated visual identity, language, values and direction. The creative team did not overlook the metal details that in recent years have become a signature element of every collection; they now discreetly emphasise feminine curves and underscore the overall statement the collection conveys. The line is influenced by athleisure, especially the skate community.


The current form of ESSENTIALS 25 combines a diversity of proven cuts and styles that have accompanied the brand during its defining presentations of recent years. We intend to keep developing this accessible line and will offer it primarily online through our e-shop,” say Miroslava Kohutiarová and Antonín Soukup, the brand’s founders and creative directors.

ESSENTIALS 25 comprises unisex garments and accessories crafted from select materials. A cotton T-shirt and oversized surfer tees in soft jersey come in two shades—stone beige with contrasting black seams and khaki with tone-on-tone details. In these pieces, the team worked with proportions and lines that highlight natural movement. Cream cargo shorts in organic cotton are designed for comfort. A timeless sweatshirt in reverse fabric is finished with a subtle branded leather patch bearing the LAFORMELA logo on the back. Oversized leather shopper bags with cow-hair—also offered in canvas—drive every look. The central feature of the unisex line is an exclusive redesign of sneakers produced in partnership with Botas, available in two colour and material compositions.

The creation process culminates in a photographic campaign titled “A Study in Intimacy,” shot by photographer Jan Grombiřík with top model Karolína Čapková.

LAFORMELA × BOTAS

In collaboration with the legendary footwear label Botas, LAFORMELA has redesigned the cult sneakers from the “Iconic” line. The result is two models crafted from premium nappa leather and brushed suede that unite the essence of Czech shoemaking heritage with progressive design. Their morphology grows out of the traditional Botas silhouette, placed within vintage skate culture. Strong padding is not only about comfort but defines a truly distinctive look. The shoe’s lines are heightened by contrast stitching that creates a dynamic accent. Both versions—brown-black and black—tell their own stories. The brown-black execution captures an uncommon image of rawness. The narrative of the polished all-black leather sneaker, by contrast, alludes through pronounced padding to brutalism and perfection in construction and material.

Each pair is made from the finest materials—premium nappa leather and brushed suede. Thanks to new technologies, the shoe gains a pronounced 3-D effect and substantial padding that lends the Iconic model a touch of luxury. This silhouette is the most complex we have ever produced in our workshop. It demands considerable time and maximum precision, but its true value lies in the work of our seamstresses. Every pair bears the imprint of their hands and the craft passed down through generations. The result is a timeless LAFORMELA × Botas sneaker we are proud of,” comments Vít Staněk, CEO of Botas.

CHROMATIC SKIN BY LAFORMELA – OBJECT, EXPERIENCE, RITUAL

The collection is further enriched by the scented candle CHROMATIC SKIN, poured into hand- finished onyx—one of the world’s most luxurious natural stones, whose history reaches back to ancient Egypt, Persia and Rome, where it symbolised protection, strength and deep inner energy. In this form it becomes an object of stillness. Each piece is unique—differing in veining, weight or cut. Once the candle has burned down, its use is transformed by personal choice—whether as a vase, vessel or aesthetic artefact. Dominant notes of tuberose, fennel, basil and vetiver join the power of stone, light and fragrance in a deeply sensorial experience.

The ESSENTIALS 25 collection, including footwear, is now on sale via the new e-shop and can also be viewed in the LAFORMELA showroom at Dušní 4 by prior arrangement. LAFORMELA × Botas footwear will likewise be available at the Botas store, Na Příkopě 23.
