In order to portray the enigmatic aura, the story was shot at Cimitero Monumentale di Milano, one of the largest and oldest cemeteries in Milan which is famous for its abundance of artistic monuments. About the concept for the shoot, the photographer commented:
“Many people have different ideas about cemeteries; some fear, some feel uncomfortable, some people avoid it, some are drawn to the mystery of death, some find peace in it. This shoot was meant to draw a line between colossal beauty and the mystery of death. After visiting Cimitero Monumentale di Milano,the idea came to place.
I like to show men’s beauty by combining masculinity, vulnerability and sensuality. Filippo is a great model and was perfect for the shoot. He is incredibly enigmatic and professional. He reminded me of a character from the Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice. He has this natural noble vampirish look: pale skin, blue eyes and dark hair. “
