About the inspiration for this editorial, the photographer says that “It’s more of a coming of age. That line of being young and free and exploring more of who he is. Set in “The Yard” where he works and plays, the young man ponders more of who he is and who he wants to be.”
The location set the mood. Tucked away in Wilton Manors / Fort Lauderdale is The Wilton Yard. A self-described enclave of artisan eateries, shops, yoga, and wellness. With inspiring paths of color, texture, and art, it provided a backdrop typically not found in the area.
The equipment used for this editorial was a Canon 6D Mark ii, a Sigma lens, and a reflector, and it was shot in The Wilton Yard @wilton_yard, Wilton Manors FL.
“I like to feel there is a connection from the model to the reader,” says Tyler Molinari. “To me, the eyes and soul are everything. When shooting, I try to figure out the subject’s strength and use that in the shoot.”
