Portugal-based freelance photographer David Velez @dvfots presents this gorgeous fashion editorial exclusively created for Vanity Teen online with the model Henrique Boal @henriqueboal represented by Models Factory @modelsfactory.
The model is always the main inspiration in David Velez’s shots because what he really wants to show is the model’s beauty and not the clothing, that’s why he prefers to keep it simple and play with soft tones and simple styling.
For this one, Velez knew that he wanted to work with natural light, and this type of set is what he usually uses in these kinds of shoots, a very simple setting with a few objects and plants just to give some environment and keep it all about the model.
The equipment used was a Canon R5, a 24-105mm lens, and just natural light coming from a window at the left side of the model, and it was shot at his house in one of the rooms.
My style is to capture the model’s beauty and keep it natural and sexy.
The model is wearing both his clothes and some of the pieces the photographer has been thrifting and buying for a few years to have at the studio. There are some brands like Pull&Bear and Zara, and Uomo underwear.
