GR10K and 10 Corso Como present a capsule collection constructed entirely from deadstock waterproof material, originally developed for utility and industrial uniforms.
The collaboration features a special label bearing 10 Corso Como iconic motif embroidered in red and artwork by GR10K.
GR10K x 10 Corso Como capsule collection consists of four items: WR Parka, WR Shell Jacket, WR Bomber, Soil Sack.
Each design is built on a workwear reference and purpose: the WR Parka is adapted from uniforms worn by employees of an energy services contractor, while the WR Shell Jacket is traced to an off-duty military training jacket from 80’s. The WR Bomber derives from outerwear used by drivers for a beverage logistics company and lastly the Soil Sack is
modeled after a construction bag designed to hold demolition debris and now reimagine for urban use.
Each jacket features: silver-threaded zipper pullers and various utility-focused design details such as adjustable cuffs, multiple pockets, and drawstrings.
Conceived from the iconic concept store and the pioneering Italian brand, the capsule collection draws inspiration from the world of functional workwear to offer technical pieces, made in Italy according to rigorous standards that incorporate practical, durable, and recycled fabrics. With the exception of the Bomber Jacket – made from a deadstock
material retrieved from a surplus production of Italian fabric originally produced for law enforcement uniforms – the collection is made of a fabric coming from deadstock material retrieved from a rejected production batch. Originally intended for the uniforms of a telecommunications company, the material was then discarded.
Although classified as defective, the fabric maintains its full waterproof and windproof properties. On the occasion of the release of the new collection, from June 21st till 24th, GR10K presents SO LOVELY TO HEAR FROM YOU — a performative, site-specific sonic installation that transforms the 10 Corso Como Mezzanino into an intimate self contained space.
