Entropía by Franco de la Puente

Photographer Franco de la Puente @francodlp presents Entropía, a gorgeous adn really colorful fashion editorial exclusively created for Vanity Teen online with the model Jose Uzcategui @joseuzcateguini represented by RD Agencia de Modelos @rdmodelosagencia.

Entropía was inspired by the physics of change and thermodynamics, a portrayal of increasing temperature, where knitwear, knots and ribbons join Venezuelan model Jose Uzcategui.

The editorial’s concept started with the admiration of science and its close connection to art. Inspired by physics’s law of change and energy transformation, Entropia is a love letter for the new normal and its proneness to change.

“A system’s entropy is the measurement of the disorder of its components.”

This thermodynamics law holds that every process that occurs in our surroundings results in an increase of chaos, and in that sense, entropy. The universe is in a constant process of disorder to order. A never ending cycle of energy liberation and transformation, where creation results in stability and stability results in disorder.

Entropia features fashion pieces by young peruvian designers that celebrate Peru’s textile history and diversity such as Mordaza @mordaza, Zaddy @zaddy___official, Alex Pacotaype @alexpacotaype, Jazmín Perea @jazminperea, Larvae @ast.er, Simone Rocha @simonerocha, and Romina Montserrat @rominamontserrat.

For this shoot, the photographer used different colored filters to resemble a thermodynamic scale, the team captured the idea of speed, motion and chaos through photography, styling and acting. As the colors got warmer, more knots and ribbons covered the body of the model, while he traveled the studio with dynamic poses and angles.
