Freelance photographer David Velez @dvfots, whose passion is male photography, presents this fashion editorial exclusively created for Vanity Teen online with the model Alexandre Marques @alex_marques17 represented by Elite Models Lisbon @elite_lisbon.
The model always inspires David Velez at the time of doing fashion editorials, usually just going with the flow after meeting the model and not needing to tell a story. “It’s just about the model and showing off his beauty and vibe,” he says.
Velez knew that he wanted to do both natural light and flash light, and one of them in a very natural and and roomy set, but the rest of the shoot was spontaneous as he likes it.
He used his Canon R5 with a 50mm 1.4 lens and a 24-105mm, his two go-to lenses. It was shot at the photographer’s house in a room in his studio.
“My style it’s not really about the clothes or fashion, it’s more about the model and his looks and vibes, and it reflects that very well. Natural and beautiful.”
The model Alexandre Marques is wearing just a few clothes that the photographer gathered around for a few years, some different brands like Zara, Pull&Bear or some second hand clothes with unkown brands.
“From my experience shooting with him, I think he was super confortable and energetic. He moved a lot, he knew his angles, he listen to my ideas and incorporate them. He was very professional and an excellent model,” states David Velez.
