What is your background?
My name is Thomas Darchy, I was born and raised in France. I moved to the United States when I was 14 years old. I went to middle school in France and High school at Miami Beach Senior High and graduated with my International Baccalaureate. Growing up I was always into sports, I started playing tennis at a very young age and switched to gymnastics when I was 9. After moving to Miami, I switched sports again and started doing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu which I still do.

When I was about 5 or 6 years old, I started playing guitar. I wasn’t really into it at first. It was frustrating, my fingers were hurting, and I didn’t have the patience to practice. After a few years and a little practice, I started to see the progress which pushed me to practice for hours a day until I could play that solo, I always wanted to play. Today playing guitar is still one of my favorite pass times. Growing up I moved a lot, switched schools often, from the north of France to the Pyrenees of France. Moving a lot made me more outgoing and helped me make friends more easily. Moving to the US changed my life. I had to learn a new language, make new friends, again, and also adapt to a different culture. Miami is a big city and moving from a little town in France with only 2000 people to one of the biggest cities in the US was a big change. In December 2018 my mother agent, Jahmar Amani found me on the streets and asked me if I wanted to be a model. I was really confused and thought I was being scammed. Little did I know 1 month later, MP mega Miami (now Select Model Management Miami) signed me. My life changed once again. I couldn’t be more grateful for Jahmar and Amanda Defranks (My agent). Those two people took a chance on me and I will do my best to not let them down.

Any advice to give to the aspiring artist who wants to venture into that field?
I think patience and hard work are the best ways to venture into that field or any other field for that matter.”Rome wasn’t built in a Day, but they were laying bricks every hour” John Heywood

Your inspirations?
My inspirations are my parents. For as long as I can remember my parents always gave it their all. My dad spent 17 years in the French Federal Police, my mother owned a beauty salon for over 10 years. Later on, my parents managed camping in France together. They then moved to the US and managed a restaurant in Miami and my father then built a property management company from scratch in one year. To me, there is no better inspiration than seeing my own parents give it their all, so I and my sister always had what we needed growing up.

Where would you like to visit?
I would love to visit Thailand or Japan. Both countries have a culture very different from the
French or American culture which I am used to, and I would love to see and experience these cultures.

What do you like doing in your spare time?
In my spare time, I enjoy doing sports and playing the guitar. When I am working out or doing Jujitsu it is the only thing I am thinking about. I am not thinking about any problems that are going on in my life or thinking about anybody else.
