This collection weaves a tale of athleticism with a domestic twist, featuring intricately knit ski jumping suits, leather shorts reminiscent of ice hockey goalkeepers’ gear, bags inspired by race bibs, and couches from childhood memories, reimagined. The essence of Ekroth’s recollections of time spent on the sofa is captured through the use of velvet materials, soft rose patterns, and coats of velvet and leather adorned with fabric-enclosed buttons that echo the decorative elements of couches.
Trousers in the collection are detailed with straps and piping, inspired by home furnishings like couch cushions repurposed as goalie pads. Bags, modeled after cushions, pay homage to the caring parents who cushioned their children against falls on the ice rink.
