“A month before the shoot I saw butterflies in different forms every day for a week: paintings, patterns, tattoos, etc,” says the stylist. “I researched what butterflies symbolized and found it meant comfort and change. Thus we created the idea of finding comfort in changes and mistakes through the ‘butterfly’. In this shoot, we tried to capture in-between moments. Our moodboard consisted of eclectic clothing and gels to transform the imagery like a caterpillar reborn into a butterfly.”
The equipment used was a Nikon and Profoto, and the shooting took place in Studio Hardwick, Melbourne.
