Inspired by the changing seasons, other-worldly features and the movements of the model Meika Woollard @meikawoollard represented by IMG Models @imgmodels and Giant Model Management @giant.management, this stunning fashion editorial exclusively created for Vanity Teen online by Australian photographer Monique Malone @moniquemalone shows a very beautiful side of life.
The editorial was shot in the photographer’s studio with natural light as well as on a very beautiful location in Melbourne, Australia that the photographer found by chance. She was walking and suddenly found a beautiful office building courtyard garden with a sculpture. “I thought it would look like another planet,” she says. She found a perfect location for the story she wanted to tell, with a vibrant green space, a gorgeous garden, similar to a virtual world. The model also contributed to this other-worldy mood, as the photographer says: “Meika has another worldly quality in both her look and movement.”
After finding the location, she then went to sourcing some incredible looks from sustainable local designers. Pieces that had modern interest and would highlight the colourings of Meika and blend through this special location. Monique also took care of the styling this time, and brought together a perfect combination of items with ten different looks shot over a two hour period. The model is wearing pieces sourced from local luxury sustainable designers such as Maison D’Etoile, MNDATORY, By Georgia and Asher and Archer.
Meika is a very creative and experimental person and a very professional model. She is intuitive and aware of how things are going to look through the lens. “With a preferred small team of three people on set, we created a tight collaboration and flow.”
