Photographer and Creative Director Katarzyna Kornas @kkornas shares in exclusive ”The Emperor’s New Clothes”. Reflecting on its work, the photographer tells us:
“The Emperor’s New Clothes” is the model test in a short editorial about the trend of following up the success that social media impose. By using an outdoor environment combined with an artificial background and spoiling it, I wanted to show the nature of man by referring to the Froid and ID philosophy. The clothes combine several themes: prints depicting nature symbolizing freedom, elegance symbolizing wealth, transparent references to Hans Christian Andersen’s The Emperor’s New Clothes symbolizing pride and the image of death symbolizing equality.
