A BATHING APE® Celebrates Its 30th Anniversary with “A CAMPING APE®︎”
In celebration of the brand’s 30th anniversary, streetwear fashion label A BATHING APE® officially launched a new outdoor sub-line, “A CAMPING APE®︎” for Spring/Summer 2023. The line embraces the globally popular camping lifestyle, offering street fashion ambiance alongside professional-grade outdoor gear in a camping utility style.
Celebrating the Brand’s Official Entry into the Outdoor Field
To mark the brand’s official foray into the outdoor segment, “A CAMPING APE®︎” invited several international outdoor activity brands such as “HELINOX”, “BROOKLYN WORKS”, “GRIP SWANY”, “GSI”, “JAGUY”, “KLEAN KANTEEN”, “PENDLETON” for its first lineup. The collaboration infused the iconic symbols of the brand, such as BAPE® CAMO and ape-man head, into all-star outdoor gear products reflecting the aesthetics of camping style.
Following the Launch of the World’s First “A CAMPING APE®︎” Pop-Up Store
Following the launch of the world’s first thematic pop-up store “A CAMPING APE®︎” in Isetan Department Store, Shinjuku, Tokyo, BAPE® continued with the hot topic at two BAPE STORE® locations in Shanghai Xintiandi and Hangzhou Kerry Center. Besides releasing the heavily assembled co-branded camping products, a limited exhibition area themed “A CAMPING APE®︎” opened in the TI Xintiandi store in Shanghai from August 1 to 23, attracting local outdoor enthusiasts and fashion friends to come and experience the fun of ape-style camping.
