Tired of ”small, small world songs” and the fantasy that lies between amusements parks? Then why not going Dismaland, Banksy”s largest project to date. Located on the Weston-super-Mare seafront, Dismaland is a theme park that has been described as a festival of art, amusements and entry-level anarchism.
Eighteen attractions conform the theme park which features the work of 50 artists like Damien Hirst, Jenny Holzer Axel Void, Wasted Rita, among other artists from around the world. It has been said that 10 new works belong to the Bristol-born artist.
Each Saturday, starting on August 28th, Dismaland will present different events that will count with the presence of musical artists such as DJ Yoda, Run the Jewels, Sleaford Mods, Kate Tempest, Massive Attack and comedians like Roger Monkhouse, Adam Bloom, Mick Ferry, and Katherine Ryan.
As good as it may sound, due to the high demand of the attraction since its opening, an announcement was released on their website informing that tickets for this weekend will be sold on door, being online sale restored on Tuesday 25th August.
We highly recommend to be as early as possible (6 or 7 am at least) if you want to visit Dismaland, unless you want to be part of the exhibition by not entering to it. The theme park will be open everyday from 11am to 11pm till September 27th, admission fee is £3, free for children under 5’s.
