As this was Arthur’s second test shoot, the photographer wanted to create a vibe that suited his look while maintaining his photographic style, which is very intuitive and “sort of goes with the flow and the energy that exists between me and my subject while we’re shooting,” as he says.
“We started by taking simple black and white pics to warm up, using nothing but the natural light in my studio before closing the blinds and jumping into the flash portion of the shoot which is always very energetic and fun.”
The equipment used was a camera Canon 5D mark IV with an external flash and the shooting took place in the photographer’s s studio in Downtown Los Angeles.
