MYX Paris presented its first collection during its launch at Men’s Fashion Week on June 23. Born from the fusion of the male and female chromosomes YX and XX to “mix” the two wardrobes into one, MYX ends the debate and creates a wardrobe for all – truly unisex.
Thanks to the experience of its founder, Pierrick Couton, who trained at several Parisian fashion houses before launching his own, MYX also guarantees quality through its choice of fabrics, cuts, and finishes.
The creator’s vision was to establish a unisex, Paris-based fashion house with a strong eco-conscious mindset, using deadstock fabrics from major fashion houses and favoring short supply chains by producing everything in France. In response to current challenges in the luxury industry, MYX places quality at the core of its mission. As a designer above all else, the founder wanted to bring craftsmanship and couture back to the forefront – as it was just a few decades ago.
The first collection strikes a balance between elegance and modernity.
With transparency, shine, and volume, the pieces – often made of black silk chiffons and satins – bring a sophisticated edge to the silhouettes, while remaining perfectly wearable for any occasion. The cuts and pleats have been designed to appeal to both men and women, ensuring that everyone can wear them comfortably.
“For years, l’ve wanted to create collections that reflect who I am – but also allow everyone to see themselves in them, without being afraid to, try on an item in one or other wardrobe. I wanted to bring a creative touch to clothing while keeping it elegant and wearable.” – Pierrick said:
