I love the word ‘transversal’.
It gives me three-dimensional images.
It conveys contemporaneity to me.
It draws an imaginary of community, understanding and involvement.
Camille Lellouche is a transversal artist.
Born and raised in Paris, Camille Lellouche is the granddaughter of a former deportee, author of the book Les Coquelicots de la liberté.
She began learning the piano at the age of four. Then, she learned the viola.
In 1997, when she was ten years old, she said she wanted to become a singer, pushing all the efforts in that side.
Later, she started performing in different piano bars.
In 2000, she began taking theater classes. She trained in comedy at Acting International. From 2005, she tried castings and obtained a few minor roles. At the same time, she worked in the restaurant industry.
In 2012, Camille was spotted by director Rebecca Zlotowski in a Parisian brasserie, where she was employed as a chef de rang10. She obtained an important role in the feature film Grand Central, alongside Léa Seydoux, Tahar Rahim and Olivier Gourmet.
The film was selected for the 2013 Cannes Film Festival, which allowed Camille Lellouche to climb the famous steps of the Palais des Festivals.
But, she notably gained notoriety among the general public with her humorous and musical performances on YouTube in 2014 and with her participation in the show The Voice: La Plus Belle Voix in 2015.
In 2017, she was a columnist on the show TPMP2. In 2021, she received a Victoire for the original song with Grand Corps Malade for the title Mais je t’aime.
She is also the mother of Alma, born in 2022, the greatest success among all successes.
We met her few weeks ago and that’s what she told us.
