Turning Pickles into the Star of the Show
A Dedication to Pickle Lovers
Domino’s Japan, notorious for its creative culinary ventures, including the Fish and Chips Pizza, Pizza Rice Bowl, and the famed 34-Topping Pie, is back with its latest unconventional pizza: the Pickle Pizza, generously loaded with 1.32 pounds of sliced dill pickles. Described as a “dedication to pickle lovers,” the appropriately named pie makes the pickle more than just a mere topping; it becomes the star of the show.

Unconventional Ingredients Create Unique Flavor Profile
Eschewing traditional tomato sauce, the Pickle Pizza is slathered with a layer of rich Camembert cheese. This decadent addition works to counteract the sourness of the pickles, resulting in a uniquely balanced flavor. Customers have confirmed that similar to Domino’s Japan’s other pies, it is possible to add even more toppings, in this case, pickles, for an additional cost of ¥590 yen or $4.40 USD.
Availability and Domino’s Global Innovation
The Pickle Pizza is available now for pick-up and delivery, though it only comes in a 40-centimeter (15.7-inch) size, roughly the size of a large Domino’s pizza in the US. Meanwhile, outside of Japan, Domino’s continues to innovate in different ways, such as the recent launch of the Domino’s Pizza Apple CarPlay application that allows customers to order dinner conveniently directly from Apple CarPlay.
Limited-Time Availability in Japan
For pizza lovers based in Japan, the Pickle Pizza is available at all Domino’s locations for a limited time only. However, those outside Japan might find themselves in a pickle. The special release is region-exclusive, as Domino’s Japan, although under the same corporate umbrella as Domino’s USA, limits its special products to its main country of operation.
