In the contemporary fashion scene, simple brand pattern designs placed prominently have garnered favor among style enthusiasts who appreciate simplicity. Brands like the French Marithe Francois Girbaud have enjoyed significant popularity due to this trend. Keeping up with this modern wave, Yohji Yamamoto has integrated such design elements into various branch products.
Yohji Yamamoto POUR HOMME x New Era® Collaboration
This time, Yohji Yamamoto POUR HOMME and New Era® have experimented with a straightforward text pattern in the latest collaborative product release. This pattern design pays homage to the brand’s Spring-Summer 1999 graphic elements series.
The Collection
Consisting of t-shirts, baseball caps, and fishing hats, the series features Yohji Yamamoto’s cursive signature printed in dark ink. The simple black and white colors and patterns are believed to be summer items that can be effortlessly incorporated into everyday life.
This collaborative project’s products will be available at Yohji Yamamoto’s directly-operated stores, authorized distributors, and select New Era® stores on June 9.
