INSIDE SHOWPONY’S AFTERPARTY AT GOSPËL FT COBRAH & JENNY ROSSANDER

For those late to the party: SHOWPONY is Evanie Frausto’s hair-made fashion universe, born from the hands of one of pop culture’s most in-demand hairstylists. The same hands behind Vogue covers and hair moments for Rosalía, Kim Kardashian, Charli XCX, and Tate McRae.
This season, his post-NYFW runway crowd took the pony downtown to Gospël for the after-hours chapter.
New York deep-house mainstay Temil warmed up the room before Jenny Rossander took over, delivering an energetic, punk-charming, and euphoric set that moved between live vocals and electronic production. Recently reintroduced under her own name after years as Lydmor, the Danish multidisciplinary artist is entering a new electronic chapter, working closely with WhoMadeWho and with new, big collaborations on the horizon; she is definitely the new act to keep eyes on.
Jenny performed beneath deep red lights, wearing the full-pink SHOWPONY look that became the star of the brand’s first NYFW runway. Part archive, part new era, and very much alive on the dance floor.

Then the lights went white.
Different from the look she had worn to close the runway earlier that evening, COBRAH stepped in wearing a naked mohair SHOWPONY dress, sharp claws, and a smoky eye.

The set went appropriately c.u.n.t.
“Brand New Bitch” was one of the night’s inevitable peaks, while “Feminine Energy” landed with an extra layer of intimacy. Already an inside favourite within the SHOWPONY circle after COBRAH reworked it for the runway soundtrack, it got the ultimate dance floor treatment.

And because no SHOWPONY night would be complete without a little thematic commitment, guests were served ‘My Little Margarita’, a custom cocktail made with Coramino Tequila, in a nod to COBRAH’s Tequila song.
Wake up, eat chia, makeup concealer / Read my horoscope, Libra / Then we get fucked on tequila.

The crowd was a proper Fashion Week collision: models, friends, family, press, fashion professionals and New York nightlife regulars, all sharing the same room and dance floor.

Once the SHOWPONY takeover wrapped, the crowd spilled into the wider Gospël night. Downstairs, Salomé Le Chat took over the decks, and the two crowds merged into one — the SHOWPONY ponies dissolving into the regular Gospël crowd and dancing their way into the rest of the night.

There was no neat Fashion Week ending. Just red lights turning white, pink ponies drinking margaritas, COBRAH on the decks, Jenny somewhere in the crowd, and New York doing what New York does best: keeping the night going.
Who let the ponies out? Apparently, Gospël did.
